- February 11: Let’s Read The Dragon Tutor (part 3)! Join us as we continue to read aloud The Dragon Tutor, about a dragon teacher and the elf princess he’s whisked off to boarding school. (Eventually. We’re currently in the middle of a long flashback.) We’ll get you up to speed in no time, and the more voices we have, the merrier!
- February 18: Bring Your Own Book! Grab your favorite book – or magazine, or recipe, or webpage – and join us in coming up with responses to fun prompts using only words or phrases from said book! The best (or funniest) response gets a point. Pick a good one, and have fun with us!
Book Bucks
Thank you, Swissvale Library readers, for your enthusiastic participation in Book Bucks for the past 21 years. All good things must come to an end, however, and the April 2021 Book Bucks Auction was the final one. Special thanks to Miss Bonnie, who created this remarkable and fun reading incentive program back in 2000, and has kept it going ever since. Since reading is its own reward, keep reading and reward yourself!
